A slightly altered lyric of Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson comes to my mind after reading The Three Ways of Great Leaders. In this article, Lee Iacocca is used to exemplify Way #3, The Charismatic Leader. But that is past history, today's US automakers have lost the visionary edge to make cars that lead much less keep up with social and environmental changes in our nation, much less our world. I've been wishing that a new "Lee Iacocca" would rise up and lead GM or Ford to a brighter future.
